Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club

Founded in 1961 and nestled in the rolling hills of southern Shreveport’s Spring Lake neighborhood, Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club, is one of the premier tennis clubs in Louisiana.

With Pierremont Oaks’ twelve Har-Tru courts, seven Laykold courts, and six permanent Pickleball courts, there is an activity for everyone! Pierremont Oaks also boasts an Olympic size pool, a fitness facility, and a full-service bar and restaurant. Pierremont Oaks also has a three thousand square foot event space for hosting special events and large tournaments.

Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club was named the Louisiana “Facility of the Year” in 2016, 2017 and again in 2021. In recognition of its contributions to the game of tennis in Louisiana, Pierremont Oaks was inducted into the Louisiana Tennis Hall of Fame in 2019.

Pierremont Oaks has been the host site for many adult and junior tournaments, including the prestigious Boys 14s National Clay Courts and the National 16s Intersectional Team Event. Pierremont Oaks has five full time tennis pros to service all the members racket sport’s needs.

    • Hassan is experienced in teaching all ages and levels which includes juniors that have competed in both local and national level events. He also has run many UTR and USTA Tournaments. Hassan is currently the Vice President of the Louisiana USPTA and looks to help grow the game for the local community and across Louisiana.

      Hassan played for Xavier university of Louisiana where he was 2x All American and helped the team reach #7 in the nation in the NAIA as the Assistant Coach. Hassan grew up in the United Kingdom and enjoyed competing as a high-level junior.

  • Philip Campbell – Head Professional
    • As a junior player, Philip held a high ranking in Louisiana in singles and doubles. At Byrd High School, he won the mixed doubles state championship for three consecutive years eventually leading to his induction into the Byrd Athletic Hall of Fame. After high school, Philip played for Louisiana Tech University from positions 1-6 for four years and received the All-Conference award. After graduation from college, Philip became a college coach for his alma mater and then for LSU. Philip graduated from Louisiana Tech in 1979 with a B.S. degree and then completed his master’s degree from Northwestern State University in 1981. In 1981 he became the Head Women’s coach for Louisiana Tech. From 1982-1983 he was the head Men’s and Women’s coach at LA Tech. In 1983 he became the Head Women’s coach at Louisiana State University (LSU) where he served until 1988.

      From 1988 – 2016 Philip was the Director of Tennis at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, LA. He joined the staff at Pierremont Oaks in October of 2016. Philip has twice been named Louisiana Tennis Professional of the year, coached Junior Davis Cup teams, Zonal teams, Competition Training Center Camps and served as President of the Louisiana Tennis Association. Philip also played on a National Championship 4.5 senior team. Philip is a member of the Northwest Louisiana Community Tennis Association, the USPTA and the USTA.
